School Study Project is a collaborative project which is conducted by student-teachers during the short-term school internship at second semester of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). This is a type of case study and student-teachers prepare a questionnaire to collect the data across a school through survey method. They observe classrooms, visit library and laboratories, playgrounds, resource rooms, contact the teachers, learners, head teacher, and other staff of the school in order to collect data. They study the school in terms of location, managerial styles, teaching-learning process & resources, evaluation system, co-curricular activities, infrastructure, library, laboratory, human resource, and the likes. They find out a complete picture of the school. The School Study Project helps student-teachers to know a school as a whole and as a unit of society and workplace. It helps them to enhance their inquiry and research based skills. It enables them to develop their professional competency. A group of student-teachers allotted to a particular school work on it collaboratively and per school a report is prepared. After finishing the school internship, a comprehensive viva-voce is initiated in order to evaluate their performance.
