With a diversified institutional experience and visioning to stay abreast of his professional expertise, Md Nawaz Sarif is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the School of Education, Adamas University, Barasat, Kolkata, West Bengal. Heis a former senior research fellow, and has submitted his Ph.D. thesis, entitled “Development of Psychological Capital amongst Students: A Cross-sectional Study”at the School of Education, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong. Hehas obtained an M.A. degree in Geography from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, and M.Ed. from Pondicherry University, Puducherry. He has pursued graduation in Geography (Hons.) and B.Ed. from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh. Hehas cleared UGC-JRF in Education as well as in Geography. Further, He was elected as a Student Representative at Pondicherry University. He was also nominated as a representative of research scholars at the Academic Council (Decision-Making Body) of NEHU, Shillong. He is a former Guest Faculty at the Department of Education, NEHU, Shillong, for two consecutive odd and even semesters(M.A. & M.Ed. programs) before joining Adamas University.

In his professional career, hehas published nine research papers in UGC-listed, Web of Sciences, and peer-reviewed journals,and four book chapters with ISBN, with a few articles, are still in process.Hehas presented ten research papers at national/international level seminars/conferences, organized by reputed institutions in the country. Also, he has participated in more than fifteenworkshops/capacity-building programs at national/international levels. He has attended more than twenty-eight seminars/conferences, organized by notable institutions, and a few by Taylor and Francis Training Network Groups and SAGE, London. He has completed two short-term courses, one in Research Methodology and another in SPSS, sponsored by UGC-HRDC, and participated in two panel discussions. Heis currently positioned as a reviewer in five scholarly journals indexed by Taylor and Francis. Aside from this, he is active and vocal in sharing his world of looking at the current quality deficit education system in the country, and has published more than twenty-four articles in national/international levels newspapers andmagazineson various issues, namely, learning crisis, quality teaching, neoliberal policies, and human rights issues, students’ mental health issues;stress, anxiety, & depression, social & emotional bullying, and well-being.His areas of interest include Philosophy, Sociology, and Psychology of Education, Geography Education, History of Education, School & Higher Education Policy and Practices, TeachingPedagogy, MentalHealth, Gender, andHumanRights IssuesinEducation, Psychological Tool Constructions, Mixed Methods Research Designs, Research Methodology, & Statistics.
