Gyanmarg: A Quantum Shift in Research is an annual, peer-reviewed, open-access, multidisciplinary, international journal published by School of Education, Adamas University, with the mission of fostering interdisciplinary scholarship, critical inquiry, and practice-informed research in education and allied fields. It seeks to be a platform for emerging and established scholars to publish original work that advances theory, informs policy, and engages with pressing societal challenges, and promotes transformative, inclusive, and ethical research. The journal welcomes contributions from diverse academic domains such as education, psychology, social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary policy studies.

3.     Submission Process

  • Submit manuscripts via email: [Insert mail ID]
  • Include the following in your email:
    • Cover Letter (mentioning manuscript type and originality statement)
    • Declaration of Originality and Conflict of Interest statement (template provided on request)
    • Manuscript file (in Word format)
    • Ethical Clearance Certificate (if human subjects involved)

4.     Peer Review Policy

  • Double-blind peer review process is followed
  • Preliminary editorial screening is conducted for scope, structure, and plagiarism
  • Reviewer decision within 3–4 weeks
  • Revisions (if any) should be resubmitted within 2–3 weeks
  • The final decision will be taken by the editorial board

5.     Editorial Decisions

Submissions are evaluated and categorized as:

  • Accept
  • Accept with Minor Revisions
  • Revise and Resubmit (Major Revisions)
  • Reject

Final decisions rest with the editorial board, which are based on originality, academic rigour, thematic relevance, and adherence to ethical standards. Authors will be notified with reviewer comments (where applicable).

6.     Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software.

  • Acceptable similarity index: ≤10% (excluding references and quotations)
  • Any form of academic misconduct or violence (e.g., plagiarism, duplicate submission, data manipulation) may result in desk rejection, withdrawal post-publication, retraction, or blacklisting
  • AI-generated content must not be the main intellectual contribution, and you are responsible for its accuracy and originality

7.     Submission Checklist

Authors are advised to ensure the following before submission:

  • The manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere
  • APA 7th referencing style followed consistently
  • Plagiarism < 10%
  • All co-authors (if any) have approved the submission
  • Ethical approval is included if applicable
  • Figures, tables, and appendices are properly labelled
  • Institutional ethical approval (for studies involving human subjects) is attached
  • ORCID iD included (optional but encouraged)

A. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Ensure all submitted work is original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism, falsification, or redundant publication
  • All authors must have made substantial contributions and approve the final version; ghost authorship or gift authorship is not allowed
  • Disclose any potential conflict of interest or funding source
  • Disclose any potential ethical concerns related to the study (especially when involving human participants)
  • Student authors must clearly define the role of supervisors and include institutional approval if applicable.

B. Responsibilities of the Editorial Board

  • Ensure fair, impartial, and timely review of manuscripts
  • Maintain confidentiality of submissions and review outcomes
  • Resolve disputes or allegations of misconduct professionally and promptly
  • Uphold academic integrity and take ethical decisions in line with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) standards

C. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Provide objective, detailed, constructive, and timely reviews
  • Maintain confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest
  • Notify the editorial board if unqualified or unavailable to review a submission
  • Avoid using unpublished manuscript content for personal gain

D. Ethical Misconduct Handling

GYANMARG strictly adheres to the standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All suspected misconduct including plagiarism, data falsification, authorship disputes, or ethical violations will be investigated in line with COPE’s official flowcharts and protocols.

Consequences may result in:

  • Immediate rejection or retraction
  • Notification to author’s affiliated institutions
  • Temporary or permanent ban on future submissions
  • Issuance of erratum or retraction notices

E. Copyright, Licensing, and Access

  • Authors retain copyright
  • GYANMARG is a non-commercial, open-access journal
  • Authors grant the journal permission to publish, archive, and distribute their work

F. Inclusive and Respectful Language

All authors must use inclusive, respectful, and non-discriminatory language throughout their manuscripts. Submissions containing casteist, sexist, racist, or ableist terminology will be rejected at any stage.

Refund Policy

Our publication fees are transparent and fair, modeled after reputable publishers like other journals.

  • When Fees Apply: Any Article Processing Charges (APCs) are communicated upfront and are only payable after your manuscript is accepted.
  • Refunds:
    • Full refunds are issued for overpayments, duplicate payments, or if a manuscript is withdrawn before peer review starts.
    • If the journal cannot deliver promised services (like publication or online hosting), a proportional refund is provided.
    • No refunds are available for manuscripts withdrawn after peer review begins, for rejected manuscripts, or for already published articles.
